Aloha all.. our latest CD, TRIBUTE, was indeed that-a Tribute to some of the great names of Contemporary music here in the islands. From Kalapana, C&K, Summer, The Peter Moon Band, Country Comfort and the Beamer Brothers, we took a sampling of some of their various hits and had the opportunity to record them with many of the original artists. Our list of special guests included DJ Pratt and Malani Bilyeu from Kalapana; Henry Kapono Ka`aihue from C&K, Randy Lorenzo from The Peter Moon Band and Country Comfort; Charles Recaido from Summer, and on slack key duties on the Beamer Bros.' "Only Good Times..the incredible Cyril Pahinui.
TRIBUTE won for best Contemporary Hawaiian CD, 2007. We had a blast performing there and want to send a special shout-out to the Aloha Joe fans that came down and shared a very wonderful evening with us.
Also, our sincerest thanks to all Na Hoku Hanohano members for voting TRIBUTE best Contemporary Album of the year in the 2007 Na Hoku Hanohano Award ceremony. I also had the privilege of performing in the opening number that started the awards ceremony. Mahalo to the HARA board and to Marlene Sai for the invite!

Be sure to check out Pakele LIVE! every Thursday night at the Ala Moana Hotel. PALI, normally performing on Friday nights will be on break until August 2008. Speaking of Pakele, Pakele LIVE! will be a new TV series on OC16 come July 2008!
Mega super group, TUBE, from Japan will be filming their DVD/tv special on Jun. 1, 2008 in Hawaii. I've been asked to sit in with them for the taping and will be performing their brand new single, Paradiso! It's an awesome song-and an honor for me.
Keep an eye out for Kalapana's BRAND NEW CD, Many Classics: Kalapana Plays Their Best. It's a collection of some of their greatest hits, recorded now. The CD is out in Japan now and will be released state-side in Dec. 2007. Mark and I were very honored to be a part of the project. Also, keep an eye out for their brand new website!
We had a blast in Tokyo for the 2007 Ryokohaku - World Travel Fair, and in Sapporo for the 'Discover Aloha' Festival. Our sincerest thanks to the `ohana at HTJ, HTA, HVB and all other sponsors/crew that were involved. We met lots of fans, new fans and friends and a quick shout-out to the Tihati Crew (Hoku, Pi`i, Keola, Brandon, Alan) , Miss Hawaii Ashley Layfield, HTJ's: Ichikura-san, Yumi, Lea, Kaneko-san & Harmony.
